CAIRO - 22 August 2024: The Permanent Representative of Palestine to the United Nations, Ambassador Riyad Mansour, said that the Gaza Strip witnessed huge destruction and work must be done to restore the necessities of life in all its areas.
Mansour stressed that Gaza Strip faced systematic destruction that affected hospitals, homes, tents and shelters.
Mansour further added Thursday, during a session of the UN Security Council on developments in the Middle East, broadcast by the Al-Qahera TV News Channel, that Gaza does not need more epidemics, death and famine and that 640,000 Palestinian children must be allowed to be vaccinated against polio, noting that an immediate ceasefire must be implemented in the Gaza Strip.
The Permanent Representative of Palestine to the United Nations supported the Secretary-General's proposal to implement an urgent vaccination campaign to stop the spread of polio in Gaza.
