CAIRO - 19 August 2024: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, Badr Abdel Aati said Monday that his visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia comes within the framework of the brotherly relations that bind the leaderships of the two countries and their brotherly peoples.
 
"Abdel Aati" added, during a special interview on Al-Qahera News TV Channel, that Egyptian-Saudi relations are very strong and solid, and have roots and a bright future.
 
"This is my first visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since I was honored to be Minister of Foreign Affairs, and since my arrival, we have been holding meetings and contacts with senior officials in the Kingdom and we met a group of Saudi ministers, and the closing was with my brother and sibling Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom," Minister Adel Aati said.
 
Minister Badr Abdel Aati added that he held intensive dialogues with his Saudi counterpart Prince Faisal bin Farhan that reflected the convergence of views between the two countries on several issues, especially the Palestinian file, including the importance of an immediate ceasefire and the stop of the Israeli aggression. 
 
"At the forefront of these matters is affirming the strong relations between the two countries and the importance of developing and advancing these relations in a way that reflects the Egyptian will and the lofty directives of President Sisi and Prince Mohammed bin Salman for further development on the political, economic, investment and commercial levels," Abdel-Ati added during his special interview on Al-Qahera News TV Channel.
 
He added that "there is a convergence of views regarding the importance of reaching a deal that guarantees the release of Palestinian hostages and prisoners and unconditional and unrestricted access to humanitarian, medical and health aid to our people in the Gaza Strip."
 
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs continued: "The efforts are ongoing and the Egyptian efforts are completely clear, and before the end of this week there will be a round of talks in Cairo, and we hope that these negotiations, which are taking place with the participation of the USA and in cooperation and coordination with our brothers in Qatar, will result in an immediate ceasefire that guarantees the safety of defenseless Palestinian civilians."
 
Badr Abdel Aati, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, said that he discussed a number of regional files at length with his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan.
 
"We also talked about the crisis in Libya, the Sudanese crisis, the situation in the Sahel region, and many regional files," he explained.  
 
Badr Abdel Aati, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, said that the Saudi side has shown great desire to invest in the Egyptian market, noting that there is a commitment framework that will be completed soon.
 
"There is a clear roadmap to reach the desired level of relations in a way that achieves the directives of the two leaderships and aspires to the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples," Abdel Aati added during a special interview on Cairo News Channel.
 
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs continued: "Egypt and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are two major regional countries in the region, and coordination concerns the two countries and is positively reflected in security and stability in the region."
 
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs continued: "We talked about pumping more Saudi investments and commitment frameworks that will be completed soon, which will lead to pumping more Saudi investments into the Egyptian economy, especially since there are great opportunities available within various sectors of the Egyptian economy such as energy, tourism and real estate development."
