CAIRO – 19 August 2024: During his current visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration Badr Abdelatty held an extensive meeting on August 19 at the Egyptian Embassy in Riyadh with representatives from the Egyptian community and several Egyptian investors in the Kingdom.
Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration and Director of the Public Diplomacy Department, stated in a press release that Minister Abdelatty emphasized his commitment to meeting with Egyptian communities during his foreign visits to engage with them directly.
He highlighted that the Egyptian state prioritizes and supports its communities abroad, working to facilitate all services for its citizens.
The spokesperson added that the Minister was particularly interested in hearing feedback from citizens on the quality of services provided and suggestions for improving consular services.
Additionally, Abdelatty underscored the significant role of Egyptian investors in Saudi Arabia as key contributors to enhancing economic and investment cooperation between the two countries.
He reiterated the support the Egyptian state provides to these investors, recognizing their vital role in the development of the national economy.
At the end of his statement, Ambassador Abu Zeid explained that Dr. Abdelatty praised the coordination between Egyptian and Saudi authorities regarding Egyptian citizens working in Saudi Arabia.
He commended the care and attention they receive from Saudi officials and society and acknowledged the Egyptian community's contribution to advancing the mutual interests of both nations.
Abdelatty also highlighted the important role of Egyptians as ambassadors of their country, strengthening the close ties between the two sister nations.
