CAIRO - 13 August 2024: Ambassador Truong Kien, Vietnam's Ambassador to Vienna and its representative to international organizations, praised the wisdom of the political leadership in Egypt and its keenness to achieve security and stability in the country in light of the escalating challenges and tensions in the Middle East.
In statements to the Middle East News Agency (MENA) correspondent in Vienna, on the occasion of the end of the ambassador's term in Austria, Ambassador Kien expressed his hope, through his new position in the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to work to support Egyptian-Vietnamese relations and activate economic cooperation and partnership between the two countries.
He explained that there are many commonalities between Egypt and Vietnam, saying that both countries are densely populated, struggle to promote development and are also river-related societies with a long history and also societies that preserve family and traditions.
He pointed out that he visited Egypt several times and enjoyed the long history in Luxor and Aswan and the wonderful tourist resorts in Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada, and was greatly attracted to Nile cruises, which will encourage more tourists in Vietnam to come to Egypt.
Regarding his tenure in Austria, the ambassador said that it was a good and fruitful period and witnessed cooperation with the Austrian government and with international organizations operating in Vienna to serve the international sustainable development goals.
