CAIRO – 13 August 2024: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty said his ministry pays great attention to enhancing the quality of consular services offered to Egyptian communities abroad, in conformity with presidential directives in this regard.
Abdelatty made the remarks during his meeting on Tuesday with the ministry's officials, who are concerned with consular affairs and information technology, said Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid.
The spokesman added that the meeting took up ways to harness the power of digital technology for improving consular services and strengthening the ministry's ability to interact directly with Egyptian communities abroad.
The spokesman stated that the meeting tackled the necessary steps to digitize consular services and speed up the time frame for the implementation of related plans.
The foreign minister indicated that proposals include developing mechanisms of work in ratification offices across the country and promoting communication between those offices and various relevant authorities.
Abdelatty stressed his keenness to meet Egyptian communities abroad during his foreign visits to listen to their opinions and proposals and meet their demands
