CAIRO - 9 August 2024: Egyptian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Ayman Ashour announced the first electric car manufactured in Egypt in partnership between Higher Education Ministry and an industrial partner.
 
The minister said that the car is produced in Egypt with a manufacturing rate of 75 percent, adding that the price of the car is affordable for young people, not exceeding 150 to 180 thousand pounds.
 
He mentioned during the second part of his meeting on the "Egypt Can" TV program, on the "DMC" channel, with the media figure Ahmed Fayek, in the presence of more than a thousand students representing Egyptian universities, that the Fund for the Care of Innovators and Geniuses sponsors all students who spend on competitions and discoveries.
 
During the dialogue, one of the students revealed a "mobile application" that facilitates the student sending a request to the affairs employees, needing proof of registration or good conduct and a statement of grades, and obtaining an appointment to receive it. The Minister of Higher Education welcomed the idea, and promised the student to study it.
 
In a related context, a student stated that they presented an application in their graduation project that helps in early detection of cancer, and they cooperated with the Liver Institute and the College of Computer Science, so that doctors could use it. The Minister of Higher Education welcomed the idea and asked her to come and study the idea.
