CAIRO – 5 August 2024: Egypt’s Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Salah El Din Mostafa said his ministry is keen to provide various ammunition, weapons, equipment and advanced electronic systems for the Armed Forces and the Interior Ministry, while seeking to benefit from surplus production capacities of its companies to manufacture civilian products with high quality and competitive prices, as well as to implement national and development projects in countries.

Mostafa made the remarks during his meeting on Monday with journalists accredited to the Military Production Ministry in the New Administrative Capital (NAC).

The minister added his ministry continues to play its role as a fundamental pillar of military manufacturing in Egypt, whether through localizing industries or producing new products or conducting important research to develop technologies used in producing standard military products and reviving the manufacture of products that had been suspended for some time.

In this regard, the minister stated that a company affiliated to the Military Production Ministry signed an agreement with French Thales Group to cooperate in producing communication devices and signaling systems.

He noted that the ministry has been working to develop production lines, raise the efficiency of several factories and offer new advanced machines to meet various production and development requirements.

Mostafa indicated his ministry is determined to establish strategic partnerships with different state institutions, especially the private sector, to execute projects that support the municipal solid waste management system, green transportation and environmental preservation, in addition to setting up projects on potable water.
