High-profile source negates existence of active tunnels between Egypt, Gaza

CAIRO – 5 August 2024: An Egyptian high-profile source negated Monday news circulated by Israeli media on the existence of active tunnels between Egypt and Gaza.

“Israel’s failure to make any achievements in Gaza pushes it to propagate claims about the existence of tunnels to justify the continuation of its aggression against the Strip,” the source added to Extra News.

The source further revealed that "Israel turns a blind eye to the arm trafficking from its lands to the West Bank to create a justification for annexing its territories and commit genocide against its residents."

According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, the death toll from the Israeli aggression against Gaza has risen to 39,480 since October 7, in addition to 91,128 injured.
