Egyptian president convenes with PM to follow up on economic conditions

CAIRO – 4 August 2024: President Abdel Fatah El-Sisi held a meeting Sunday with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli to follow up on economic affairs of priority and quality of services.  

The economic matters are mainly the ongoing intensive efforts to give a big push to the national manufacturing sector, and boosting value added in the industrial sector.

In that context, the president stressed the government's orientation towards supporting and encouraging the private sector, both local and foreign, to increase its industrial investments and achieve a leap in the quantity and quality of the Egyptian industrial output.

As for services, the president followed up on the updates of the sectors of healthcare, education, and tourism as well as those of inflation and the supply of goods in the Egyptian market.
