FM stresses keenness on giving care, support to Egyptian expats

CAIRO – 4 August 2024: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expats Badr Abdel Aty inaugurated Sunday the fifth edition of the "Egyptian Expats Conference" taking place in Cairo on August 4-5 having as theme "From Egypt to the World."

The minister delivered the greetings of President Abdel Fatah El-Sisi, noting that the conference has been a platform for dialogue and exchange of views on what can be offered by the Egyptian government to Egyptian expats, and how they can contribute to development in their homeland.  

Minister Abdel Aty pointed out that the theme of this year's edition reflects the wide presence of Egyptian worldwide where they present role models, and contribute to the human civilization stressing the government's keenness on giving them care and support.

The first session was titled "Opportunities and Horizons of Investment in Egypt," and tackled the incentives, particularly those available in new industrial zones, successful models of FDI in those zones, progress in urban development and infrastructure, as well as bank products offered exclusively to expats.
