CAIRO – 3 August 2024: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli embarked on an extensive inspection tour of several factories in Alexandria Governorate, on Saturday.

 

During the tour, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli emphasized the government's commitment to enhancing the Egyptian industry, recognizing it as a fundamental driver of comprehensive economic advancement, according to a statement released from the cabinet.

 

He underscored ongoing efforts to empower the private industrial sector and eliminate barriers hindering its growth. This includes creating conducive environments, offering supportive facilities for industrial investments, and promoting a culture of value addition within Egyptian industries. These efforts aim to maximize benefits, whether through local manufacturing, technological advancement, or maximizing economic returns for the nation and its citizens.

 

 

Madbouli expressed his dedication to conducting inspections across various industrial zones to accelerate project implementation and identify challenges faced by investors firsthand.

 

 

The state and government, he noted, recognize the pivotal role of the industrial sector, underscored by the establishment of a ministerial group for industrial development. This initiative seeks to bolster local industry through collaboration with the private sector, viewed as a crucial partner in current developmental endeavors.

 

 

The Prime Minister was accompanied by Lieutenant General Engineer Kamel El-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport; Eng. Hassan El-Khatib, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade; Lieutenant General Ahmed Khaled Hassan Saeed, Governor of Alexandria; and Hossam Heiba, CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones, along with other executive leaders from the governorate.
