CAIRO – 3 August 2024: Egypt condemned the terrorist bombing that targeted a famous hotel in the Somali capital Mogadishu, which resulted in dozens of casualties and injuries, announced the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration on Saturday in a statement.

 

 

Egypt expressed its sincere condolences and sympathy to the government and people of the Somalia, and to the families of the victims of this horrific terrorist act, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured, the statement added.

 

 

Egypt affirmed its full solidarity and support for all efforts of the State of Somalia in combating terrorism and achieving security and stability, the statement continued.

 

 

An explosion occurred on Friday in Lido beach in the Somali capital Mogadishu, killing 32 people and injuring more than 60 others. No one claimed responsibility for the attack so far but Somali media blame the “Al Shabab” terrorist group.
