CAIRO – 24 July 2017: Turkey’s exports to Qatar has increased Last June by 51.5 percent compared to May, and 214 Turkish planes, trucks and ships arrived the state, during Qatar-Gulf crisis kicked off on June 5, Khaleeji sources said.
Ankara sent Qatar 197 cargo aircrafts, 17 trucks and ships since last June, according to the sources, in order to fulfill Qatari daily needs of food and goods.
Ankara’s exports to Doha reached $53.5 million last June with foods, water and animal product at the top of the list, Turkish Exporters’ Assembly TIM stated.
Turkish companies executed, according to Turkish Contractors Association TMB, a number of 128 projects worth $14.1 billion in Qatar between 2000 and 2017, Saudi Al-Riyad newspaper reported.
In June 5, top Arab nations including Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain cut diplomatic ties with Qatar on a charge of supporting terrorism groups and threatening the security of the region.
