CAIRO – 1 August 2024: Egypt’s Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation Rania Al Mashat said that al Alamein has finally become a city ‘free of mines’ and there is a huge development in the city that reflects the extent of Egypt's progress and development.
She pointed out during a press conference held on the sidelines of the activities of the New Alamein Festival that al Alamein has become a city full of advantages and achievements in terms of everything.
The minister added that the New Alamein Festival ‘creates an image of security, safety and stability, through holding artistic events with a large audience, as well as sports activities.’
“I am so happy to be in al Alamein because the whole world is here, and if you go back a little in time, we could’ve been standing in a big minefield, but President Sisi is very interested in development,” Mashat said.
She noted that President Sisi spoke to all ministers in the new government after swearing in the oath and his only concern was the citizen, through providing all needed services and policies.
“I am happy to be part of the new government. And I want you to know that current period is mainly focused on human development and industrial development. These two files are very important and have a great relationship with each other, because if we can develop the human being, we will be able to produce a good industrial product,” Mashat noted in the conference.
She said that the Planning Ministry has multiple initiatives in the coming period that will witness great cooperation with the United Media Services Company, most notably the “Our Country’s Youth” initiative.
Amr El-Fakki, CEO and Managing Director of United Media Services, who accompanied minster Mashar during her tour in Al Alamein festival and the conference said that there is great cooperation between United Media Services and the Ministry of Planning in all fields, noting that this cooperation creates distinctive dimensions that have a positive impact on the citizen and various state institutions.
