Egypt Raises Cairo Metro Ticket Prices by 2 EGP

CAIRO – 1 August 2024: The Egyptian National Authority for Tunnels raised the price of metro tickets by 2 pounds each.

 

The Cairo Metro Company Administration confirmed that ticket prices have been adjusted in accordance with directives from the Ministry of Transport and the National Authority for Tunnels, effective August 1, 2024.

 

The new prices are as follows:

Up to 9 stations: 8 pounds; seniors: 4 pounds

From 10 to 16 stations: 10 EGP; seniors: 5 EGP

From 17 to 23 stations: 15 EGP; seniors: 8 EGP

More than 23 stations: 20 EGP; seniors: 10 EGP

Unified ticket price for people with disabilities: 5 EGP

 

 

A discounted quarterly subscription is available for students, offering up to a 90% reduction on the regular ticket price.
