CAIRO - 1 August 2024: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigration and Affairs of Egyptians Abroad will launch the fifth edition of the "Conference of Egyptians Abroad" on August 4th and 5th, under the slogan "From the Mother of the World to the Whole World," with the attendance of Minister Dr. Bader Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration and Affairs of Egyptians Abroad, and the participation of a number of ministers and concerned authorities.

 

This conference comes after the decision to merge the competences of the former Ministry of State for Emigration and Affairs of Egyptians Abroad with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the aim of developing the system and mechanisms of communication with Egyptian communities abroad, improving the level of services provided to Egyptians abroad with speed and efficiency, and making the most of the role of Egyptian diplomatic and consular missions in implementing the state's policy in interacting with communities, taking care of their interests, and linking them to the homeland.

 

In a statement by Ambassador Nabil Habashi, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration and Egyptians Abroad, he indicated that the fifth edition of the conference, which will be opened by Dr. Bader Eid Al-Atty, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration.

 

Thw conference includes four thematic sessions, including "Investment Opportunities and Prospects in Egypt," which will showcase the opportunities provided by the state to encourage investment and the most important investment opportunities currently available in Egypt, while the second session, entitled "Education, Training, and Youth Qualification," addresses the efforts exerted by the Ministry of Education through the "Our Children Abroad" administration to meet the needs of the children of Egyptians abroad and the proceedings of the "Egyptian Track" schools, and the requests of Egyptians abroad regarding university coordination and benefiting from students and researchers abroad by the Ministry of Higher Education.

 

The third session of the conference will be held under the title "Services Provided to Egyptians Abroad," and will include a review of the important role played by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as Egyptian diplomatic and consular missions in providing all forms of support to Egyptian citizens abroad, and informing them of the services provided to them, whether in terms of the conscription settlement initiative or identity papers or social insurance protection, while responding to the concerns of Egyptians abroad regarding the initiative of cars for Egyptians abroad, while the fourth session of the conference will be held under the title "Facilitations and Advantages for Egyptians Abroad," during which a set of new advantages dedicated to Egyptians abroad will be presented.

 

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs added that the conference comes within the framework of the Egyptian state's interest in its citizens abroad, and the keenness of Minister Abdelatty to enhance and improve the efficiency of communication with Egyptian communities abroad and keep them informed of the developments taking place in Egypt and the challenges facing the state and the achievements made in various fields.
