CAIRO - 30 July 2024: Hussam Hezaz, a member of the Egyptian Chamber of Tourism, has announced that hotel occupancy rates in El Alamein have reached 100% until the end of August. He highlighted the significant influx of both domestic and international tourists.

In an interview on the "Sabah El Kheir Ya Masr" program, Hezaz stated that the El Alamein Festival's cultural offerings, including music, performances, and theater, have been particularly appealing to Arab tourists.

He emphasized that El Alamein is equipped with world-class facilities, services, and infrastructure, as well as excellent transportation links.

Hezaz further noted that the El Alamein New City Festival has positioned Egypt as a global tourist destination. The airports in El Alamein and Borg El Arab in Alexandria have facilitated increased tourism, with charter flights from Arab and European countries offering competitive prices.

These charter flights from Europe take a maximum of 5 hours, while those from Arab countries take only 2 hours.
