CAIRO – 28 July 2024: The Cabinet released a statement Sunday indicating that 32.5 million state-funded medical care decisions were issued for 18.8 million citizens at a budget of LE102.3 billion in the past 10 years.
The government also targets to increase the annual budget allocated to the service from LE20.8 billion to LE26.3 billion by 2027.
In a previous statement, the Ministry of Health and Population pointed out that the medical services provided were in the specializations of blood disorders, oncology, ophthalmology, surgery, gynecology, otolaryngology, orthopedics, urology, gastroenterology, dermatology, and neurology.
