CAIRO - 27 July 2024: Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli made an inspection tour of a number of projects in the New Alamein City, on Saturday.
Madbouli’s tour aims at following up on the status of the construction of ongoing projects in the city
“The New Alamein is a distinguished civilized project that the state pays special attention to, as it witnesses the implementation of residential, service, commercial and entertainment facilities on the Mediterranean coast,” said Madbouli.
He continued that the government is aiming to make the city a point of attraction for investments and pioneers, and to benefit from the promising components of this charming spot on the Mediterranean coast.
“We aim to boost work rates in projects in the New Alamein city and expedite the delivery procedures for ready-made housing units,” he added.
Madbouli was accompanied by Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Eng. Sherif El-Sherbiny, Chairman of the New Alamein City Authority Eng. Ahmed Ibrahim, and a number of officials in the ministry.
The Prime Minister listened to a review from Eng. Sherif El-Sherbiny about the "Heritage City" that is being built on an area of 260 acres, and includes a group of diverse heritage, cultural and commercial buildings.
The heritage city will include a main lake, a mosque, a church, an opera, a museum, a cinema complex, a Roman theater, an exhibition building, many commercial, hotel and investment buildings and a number of luxury housing units.
The Minister added that some projects in the heritage city have started operating the cinema buildings and witnessing a great turnout from visitors.
The Minister of Housing added that the Roman theater in the city, which can accommodate about 1,000 people, has also been operated, as part of the activities of the Alamein Festival for 2024, noting that contracts are being completed with many investors to operate other buildings in the project.
