CAIRO - 24 July 2024: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu preempts his speech at the U.S. Congress with incorrect claims about “allowing” the exit of injured and wounded Palestinians, and intensifying humanitarian relief operations in the Gaza Strip, a high-level source said Wednesday.

The source also denied that Israel had informed Egypt of its response to the ceasefire proposal, emphasizing that news being circulated are in fact Israeli leaks aimed at supporting Netanyahu’s U.S. speech.

The source further denied the presence of Israeli or Palestinian delegations in Egypt to discuss the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation forces continue to launch hundreds of raids and artillery shelling and to commit crimes throughout the Gaza Strip, perpetrating horrific massacres against civilians and carrying out outrageous crimes in the areas of incursion. Such crimes come amid a catastrophic humanitarian situation as a result of the siege and the displacement of more than 90% of the population.

The Israeli occupation aircrafts have destroyed entire residential squares in the Gaza Strip as part of a comprehensive destruction policy pursued by Israel in its ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip.

Thousands of martyrs and wounded Palestinians are still lying under the rubble due to the non-stop bombing and the dangerous conditions in light of the stifling siege of the Gaza Strip and severe restrictions on the entry of fuel and urgent vital aid.
