Egyptian, Croatian FMs hold talks on future joint events

CAIRO – 24 July 2024: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expats Badr Abdel Aty received Wednesday a phone call from Croatian counterpart Gordan Grlic Radman to hold talks on future joint events.

 

Preparations for the Egyptian-Croatian economic committee to convene are underway, which will constitute an opportunity to reciprocate investments between the two countries. In addition, Minister Abdel Aty said that Egypt looked forward to increasing trade between the ports of Alexandria and Rijeka.

 

The minister also expressed Egypt's aspiration that the Croatian prime minister would hold a visit soon fulfilling the invitation of his Egyptian counterpart. He similarly invited Minister Radman to visit Cairo.

 

On another level, Minister Abdel Aty lauded the modification of the Croatian stance on the Gaza War in the past few months towards supporting a ceasefire. On his side, the Croatian minister expressed interest in continuous coordination and consultation with Egypt on issues of mutual concern as well as pushing forward bilateral cooperation in various fields.
