Auction for registration plate “dab-111” reaches over LE2.5M

CAIRO - 24 July 2024: An online auction held by the traffic department of the Ministry of Interior for a “special” registration plate has amounted to more than L.E.2.5 million.

Only five people are competing for the plate “d a b - 111). 

A few days earlier, plate “o n n - 1” reached more than L.E.1.2 million.

Today, plate “a s d - 45” has reached L.E.350,000. The letters mean “lion” in Arabic.

The auction money goes to Tahia Misr fund, according to the website.
