CAIRO - 24 July 2024: Burj Khalifa, in Dubai, UAE, and Moscow Domodedovo Airport in the Russian capital, Moscow, are decorated Tuesday with the flag of the Arab Republic of Egypt, marking the anniversary of the glorious July 23 revolution in Egypt.

Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, the official spokesman and Director of the Public Diplomacy Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, wrote on the X website: “The Egyptian flag decorates Domededovo Airport in Moscow and Burj Khalifa in Dubai, on the occasion of Egypt’s National Day and the anniversary of the glorious July 23 Revolution.”

Tuesday marks the 72nd anniversary of the Revolution of July 23, 1952, when the Free Officers decided to change the history of Egypt and change the balance of power by restoring national independence.

The Free Officers emerged in a revolution that the people lined up behind after that. The revolution overthrew the monarchy, and King Farouk became the last king of Egypt, after which the Republican era began.
