Egypt FM to meet with Sudanese counterpart Tuesday

CAIRO – 22 July 2024: Dr. Badr Abdel-Aty Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Egyptian Affairs Abroad, will host Hussein Awad Ali, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sudan, at Tahrir Palace on Tuesday.

The meeting will include a bilateral discussion session focused on addressing developments in the Sudanese crisis and exploring efforts towards finding a resolution, according to a statement released by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry on Sunday.

On Sunday, Abdel-Aty met with with AU Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security (PAPS) Bankole Adeoye on the sidelines of the Sixth Mid-Year Coordination Meeting.

The two sides equally discussed the political and security developments in Sudan, agreeing on the importance of unifying Sudanese political civil powers, and preserving Sudan's territorial integrity and state institutions.
