CAIRO – 22 July 2024: Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli said Monday that Egypt is looking forward to boosting cooperation with the Comoros.

Speaking during a meeting with President of the Comoros Azali Assoumani, Madbouli talked about encouraging the contribution of Egyptian companies to projects implemented by Moroni.

The premier said that he will personally follow up on ventures implemented by Egyptian firms in the Comoros.

The get-together was held on the sidelines of the sixth session of the mid-term coordination meeting of the AU, which Madbouli attends on behalf of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi in Accra, Ghana.

The talks took up a number of files of mutual concern.

Assoumani, for his part, greatly appreciated Egypt’s support for his country through providing training courses needed by human cadres there. This, he added, helped achieve sustainable development in the Comoros.

He expressed hope to visit Egypt and hold one-on-one talks with President Sisi as soon as possible.
