CAIRO - 18 July 2024: Damanhour University, headed by Professor Dr. Elhamy Tarabis, announced its inclusion and membership in the network of African-Austrian universities, Africa-United.
The African-Austrian university network, Africa-UniNet, was established in order to create a long-term and stable basis for supporting cooperation between Austrian and African universities and research institutions. It aims to promote new contacts and deepen scientific cooperation.
Funding opportunities for the network’s activities include a number of areas, including: joint work in research projects, joint development and contribution to teaching and research-based training, joint development and implementation of training courses, workshops, seminars, conferences and alumni meetings, joint work in the fields of research and scientific publishing, as well as joint supervision of Students, including exchange visits of professors, short-term research visits of scholars at member institutions, alumni activities, and other network activities.
For his part, the President of the University expressed his great happiness with this achievement, as this union includes 78 African and Austrian universities, stressing the university administration’s keenness to adopt and implement a strategy to advance the university’s international cooperation mechanisms and improve the global ranking at the level of various international classifications,
He indicated that the university is working hard to participate in various fields of international cooperation, as well as international classifications, to gain experience and work to develop all fields in accordance with the university’s vision and strategy, which is based on concerted efforts and the participation of all sectors, departments and colleges of the university to raise the university’s position in various international classifications, so that we can place Damanhour University in the centers Advanced on the global map.
