President Sisi inspects headquarters of Strategic Command, Military Academy in Administrative Capital

CAIRO – 12 July 2024: Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al Sisi, inspected on Friday the headquarters of the Strategic Command and the Military Academy in the Administrative Capital.

Sisi stressed that the new Strategic Command should be a monument to the great people of Egypt and a vital addition to the capabilities of the armed forces, which ensures integrated planning and coordination for all its entities and enhances capabilities and constant readiness to face challenges effectively and efficiently using the latest advanced technology systems.

 

President Sisi visit came in preparation for the transfer of the leadership of the Armed Forces to the new command, where he was received by Lieutenant General Abdel Majeed Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production, Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Ashraf Zaher, Head of the Egyptian Military Academy, and a number of leaders of the Armed Forces.

During his visit, Sisi said that in light of extremely complex regional and international situations, it was proven with certainty that whoever wants peace must possess the necessary strength to maintain it.

President Sisi stressed that the new strategic Command will play a pivotal role in strengthening the tireless efforts undertaken by the state to protect Egyptian national security in a way that achieves the state’s strategic goals, contributes to securing its capabilities, and protects society for the great people of Egypt.

President Sisi also toured the Egyptian Military Academy and inspected a number of its facilities, including the academy’s presidency building for graduate and strategic studies, the artillery institute building, the infantry institute, and the academy’s equestrian club.
