CAIRO - 11 July 2024: Egyptian Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Minister Sherif Fathi stated that the ministry’s most prominent goals are to reach 30 million tourists, while working to diversify tourism patterns, exploiting the tourism components present in Egypt and maximizing their benefit.
 
The minister's remarks came during his statement at the fourth meeting of the special Parliamenatry committee concerned with studying the government’s program on Thursday.
 
Fathi indicated that the most prominent elements necessary to achieve tourism economic security are enhancing and attracting tourism investment through a number of initiatives that the ministry will put forward in this area to encourage Investors in tourism.
 
The Minister added that the Ministry has prepared a plan to exploit and manage museums through participation with the private sector to maximize their benefit.
 
He further explained that the Ministry is currently reviewing the entire structure of the Ministry to establish comprehensive governance in the Ministry’s work plan, stressing the importance of cooperation and mutual coordination with the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
