CAIRO - 9 July 2024: Khaled Al-Balshi, head of the Journalists Syndicate, announced honoring Palestinian journalist Wael Al-Dahdouh after receiving the Press Freedom Award as a representative of Palestinian journalists.
 
Al-Balshi paid tribute to the souls of more than 185 martyrs among Palestinian journalists during the ceremony, where the attendees stook for a minute of slience to mourn the souls of the Palestinian martyrs.
 
The head of the Journalists Syndicate stated that Al-Dahdouh informed the syndicate that he would waive the value of the award for the treatment of his colleagues.
 
The head of the Egyptian Journalists Syndicate saluted the presence of more than 5 former syndicate leaders who cooperated with the current council of the Syndicate in forming the Board of Trustees of the Egyptian Journalism Awards.
 
The remarks came during the Egyptian Press Awards celebration, under the patronage of the Prime Minister and the United Company.
