President El-Sisi Congratulates Iran’s President on his Election Win

CAIRO – 8 July 2024: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi sent a cable of congratulations to President of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, on his victory in the presidential elections, which reflects the confidence of the Iranian people in his ability to serve his country and steer it toward prosperity and development.

President El-Sisi wished the new Iranian President success in his duties and expressed his appreciation of the good relations between the Egyptian and Iranian peoples, according to a statement released by the Egyptian Presidency.

Pezeshkian won the presidential race with securing 16,384,403 votes, beating his ultra-conservative Saeed Jalili, who garnered 13,538,179 votes on July 6, 2024.
