CAIRO - 1 July 2024: US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, confirmed that the United States of America is engaged in tireless efforts with Egypt and Qatar to advance President Biden’s proposal for a ceasefire in Gaza.
According to U.S. media, Blinken stressed the need for a clear and verifiable plan to manage the affairs of the Gaza Strip after the war stops.
The US Secretary of State said, "The proposal presented by President Biden regarding Gaza can be achieved. Gaza cannot be left without governance. We have been working with our Arab allies over the past month to develop plans for the future of Gaza."
A high-level source said that Egypt has intensified its contacts in recent hours with Israel and the Palestinian factions to try to overcome the obstacles facing the ceasefire agreement, according to breaking news reported by Al-Qahera News TV Channel.
