New cabinet to be announced ‘within days,’ national, int’l expertise to be used

CAIRO - 29 June 2024: The new cabinet formation will be announced “within days,” according to a government source on Saturday. 

The source listed some details of the announcement as follows:

1. The formation of the cabinet and governors and the swearing-in ceremony are expected in a matter of days.

2. ⁠ National competent personalities and international expertise will be used.

3. Prime Minister-designate Mostafa Madbouly held more than 65 meetings in 25 days to reach the best government formation commensurate with the magnitude of the current challenges.

4. ⁠The criteria of competence, experience, and evaluation of previous experiences come at the forefront of the selection criteria.

5. A comprehensive government program is being prepared through which the new government will deal swiftly with the current challenges, continuing structural reforms of the economy and improving public services.
