CAIRO – 24 June 2024: Cultural Counselor of the Palestinian Embassy in Cairo Naji Al-Naji praised the Egyptian state's support for Palestinian students coming from Gaza to take their high school exams in Cairo, noting that there is a high-level official and popular Egyptian role in caring for Palestinian students.

In televised statements on Monday, Al-Naji said that the Egyptian government provided a large school that accommodates about one thousand Palestinian students who arrived in Cairo from the Gaza Strip to take their high school exams. He pointed out that the Egyptian state, with all its institutions including the Ministry of Education, stands to support the Palestinian students.

He added that the determination of Palestinian students to come to Egypt to take their high school exams is a message to the international community about the resilience of the Palestinian people and their commitment to education, in defiance of the Israeli occupation which tries in every possible way to erase Palestinian identity and hinder their education
