EgyptAir to start air bridge for returning pilgrims from Saudi Arabia, Wednesday

CAIRO – 18 June 2024: Egypt’s Flag carrier EgyptAir, will begin its air bridge Wednesday to transport the pilgrims after the end of the Hajj rituals from the Holy Lands to Egypt.

The national company announced operating 9 flights on Wednesday, June 19, 8 flights on the Jeddah - Cairo route, and one flight on the Taif - Cairo route.

On June 16, the Assistant Minister of Interior for Administrative Affairs and Head of the Official Hajj Mission said that The overall health of all Egyptian pilgrims remains satisfactory.

He explained that members of the medical team, as well as the medical team of the Ministry of Interior's Medical Services Sector accompanying the Hajj Lottery Mission, were -then- present in the pilgrims' camps in the Mina area to provide all aspects of healthcare to the Guests of God during the Tashreeq Days. This is in coordination with the Saudi Ministry of Health.

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi lauded on Sunday the Saudi authorities' well organization of Hajj rituals and the good services provided to millions of pilgrims.

In a tweet on his social media accounts, Sisi thanked King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for the warm hospitality he received in Saudi Arabia while performing Hajj.

At the end, Sisi greeted Muslims on the occasion of Eidul Adha, praying to Allah the Almighty to return the blessed occasion on Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the Arab and Islamic nations with prosperity.
