CAIRO - 15 June 2024: Adel Hanafi, Vice President of the General Union of Egyptians in Saudi Arabia, stated that on Wednesday was the Day of Tarwiyah, with all pilgrims arriving in Mina, Mecca last night. The city experienced prolonged rainfall, resulting in a significant drop in temperatures.

In a phone interview on the "Al-Tasea" program, broadcast on Egypt's Channel One, Adel Hanafi mentioned that most pilgrim groups have arrived and were transported to Arafat in preparation for the major stand. One of Saudi Arabia's instructions to pilgrims was to ensure that buses only enter the holy sites with security coordination.

Adel Hanafi emphasized that Egyptian pilgrims are in good health and are adhering to the regulations beautifully. He noted that for the first time, the flying taxi is taking off from the holy sites.

Additionally, the area of Arafat has been coated with a plastic material and equipped with sprinklers to spray water on the pilgrims. He explained that after the Maghrib and Isha prayers tomorrow, the pilgrims will move from Arafat to Muzdalifah.
