Egypt extended its condolences to Kuwait over victims of Mangaf fire

CAIRO – 12 June 2024: Egypt extended its sincere condolences to the government and people of Kuwait over the victims of an apartment building fire in Mangaf area in Kuwait's southern Ahmadi Governorate.

“Egypt extends its sincere condolences to the government and people of Kuwait following the building fire accident in the Mangaf area. We pray to God Almighty to shower His mercy on the victims of the painful accident, to grant their families patience and solace, and to grant a speedy recovery to the injured,” official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Abu Zaid, wrote on his account on the X account.

Egypt's General Consul in Kuwait Heba Zaki underlined that there are no Egyptians among deaths, noting that only two Egyptians were injured in the fire; one of them was discharged from hospital.

The Kuwait News Agency had confirmed that 30 people were killed and 43 injured following a fire in a building in the city of Mangaf.
