Gaza under Israeli aggression - file
CAIRO - 12 June 2024: A total of 150 Palestinian journalists were killed so far during the horrific war waged by Israel on Gaza Strip since October 7th, 2023, according to the head of the Egyptian Journalists Syndicate Khaled Al-Balshi.
Al-Balshi added, during his speech on the sidelines of the signing of a cooperation agreement between both syndicates of the Egyptian Journalists and the Palestinian Journalists, that the Palestinian press sends a message to the whole world on how journalism is a weapon in the hands of nations.
He continued: “That message was a professional and national inspiration, and it is the first declared victory in this war in the face of nternational news agencies, because the Palestinian journalist decided to sacrifice his blood and the blood of his children to convey the truth.”
He pointed out that the agreement begins to be implemented from the moment it is signed, starting from now, and regarding the courses, part of them will be allocated to all Palestinian journalists, with the door open to them under the same conditions as for Egyptian journalists.
He revealed a proposed proposal to allocate an award to Palestinian journalists in the Egyptian Journalism Awards competition and other aspects of cooperation in the company’s committees and international investigation committees.
