Egyptian Interior Minister, Chinese security delegation discuss cooperation

CAIRO – 6 June 2024: Minister of Interior Mahmoud Tawfik received Thursday a Chinese security delegation led by the deputy minister of public security to discuss cooperation between the security bodies of both countries as well as security issues of joint concern.

The head of the Chinese delegation commended the efforts deployed by the Egyptian Ministry of Interior to support stability in Egypt and its regional sphere, saying he looked forward to exchanging information and training.

On his side, Minister Tawfik stressed the necessity of concerting efforts to combat terrorism, organized crime, and cybercrime, welcoming bilateral security coordination with China and experience exchange.
