Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry handed over the presidency of the UN Climate Change Conference to COP28 President-designate Sultan Al-Jaber on Thursday.

CAIRO - 4 June 2024: Egyptian Foreign Minister Samah Shoukry held bilateral talks, Tuesday, with Cypriot Foreign Minister Konstantinos Kombos, who is currently visiting Cairo.

 

Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated on his official "X" platform account, "Intensive discussions within the framework of the strategic relations between Egypt and Cyprus, and an exchange of views on the developments of the war in Gaza and ways to achieve a ceasefire and contain the humanitarian disaster."

 

The two ministers are scheduled to hold a joint press conference at the conclusion of the extensive discussions.
