CAIRO - 29 May 2024: Many Instagram users, including some celebrities around the world, shared an image showing organized rows of tents at a distance on a dusty ground, in the middle of which are white structures with the phrase “All Eyes on Rafah” written on them.

The invitation to participate shows the number of people who added the image to their stories exceeded 40 million posts so far.

This campaign spread after an Israeli raid on the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, in which at least 45 people were killed.

Footage showed that many bodies were recovered from under the rubble of destroyed buildings, and in one of the video clips a man appeared carrying the body of a headless child.

Last week, the International Court of Justice ordered Israel to stop its military attack on Rafah in a historic emergency ruling in a case brought by South Africa that accuses Israel of committing genocide.

On Tuesday, the Israeli occupation army launched new raids on tents housing displaced people in the designated humanitarian area in Al-Mawasi, west of Rafah, leaving a number of martyrs and wounded.

The attack came two days after an Israeli bombing of a camp for displaced people northwest of Rafah, causing a fire to break out, killing 45 people, and wounding 249 others, according to the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip.
