CAIRO - 29 May 2024: President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and his Chinese counterpart Xo Jinping held in-depth Wednesday talks on means to strengthen bilateral relations, signing a package of agreements including the joint development plan for the Belt and Road Initiative.
The agreements will enhance cooperation in the fields of technological innovation and communications technology, among others.
Coinciding with the tenth anniversary of upgrading relations between Egypt and China to the level of a comprehensive strategic partnership, a joint statement was issued detailing areas of cooperation and coordination during the next phase.
This includes the announcement of the “Year of “Egyptian-Chinese Partnership,” which will witness many diplomatic, economic and cultural cooperation activities between the two countries.
