CAIRO – 16 May 2024: The joint naval training exercises (Red Waves - 7) that were held with the participation of naval forces from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Yemen, and Djibouti were concluded.

 

These exercises took place in the territorial waters of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as part of the joint training plan for the Egyptian Armed Forces with friendly nations.

 

The training encompassed various elements, including lectures on standardizing joint work concepts among all participating units.

 

Practical exercises involved training to counter speedboat attacks, mastering the right to visit and inspect, and executing diverse sailing formations to showcase the coordination among participating units.

 

In the final phase, an exercise showcased the operation of storming coastal islands. This operation was conducted under the cover of aerial fire support by the Air Forces.

 

Furthermore, air assistance was provided for reconnaissance and to secure the island's coast in preparation for the advance of ground forces, ensuring the successful execution of the storming operation.
