CAIRO – 15 May 2024: Palestinian Ambassador in Cairo Diab al Louh said Egypt is a historical supporter of the national Palestinian liberation movement and a historical partner in the national Palestinian struggle.
Delivering a speech at an event held at the headquarters of the Arab Lawyers Union in Cairo, Louh expressed thanks to President Abdel Fattah al Sisi, who stood as an “mighty bulwark” against the implementation of an Israeli plan to displace Palestinians and empty the land of its historical owners.
Titled “A message to Biden... between the two Nakbas 1948 - 2024”, the event was held under the auspices of Arab Lawyers Union Secretary-General Mekkaoui Benaissa, and assistant secretary-general Hussein Shabana.
"I confirm what Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas affirmed: that we will not conclude an agreement with Israel unless it includes a full release of all Palestinian and Arab prisoners and detainees at Israeli prisons," Louh said.
This is a fixed Palestinian condition that cannot be waived, the ambassador stressed.
Louh demanded the implementation of United Nations General Assembly Resolution 181 that was adopted on November 29, 1947 as regards the establishment of two states.
