In a statement marking International Day of Families, the AL General Secretariat stressed the importance of the role played by families in the face of challenges related to climate change, and to build a sustainable future for the coming generations.

Families also contribute to promoting awareness of environment protection and adaptation with climate change, the statement said.

It called for adopting daily environment-friendly practices and enhancing sustainable behavior to maintain natural resources.
