CAIRO – 13 May 2024: Al Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed el Tayyeb has expressed his appreciation for Egypt's keenness and efforts in renovating mosques and Islamic monuments.
This came during the grand Imam's visit to Al- Sayyida Zainab Mosque on Monday, where he was received by Minister of Awqaf Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa and a number of ministers.
Gomaa briefed the Grand Imam on the renovation works which included the restoration of archaeological sites, architectural decorations as well as the mosque services and facilities.
