Gaza death toll rises to 34,971 since war broke out

CAIRO – 11 May 2024: The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced Saturday, that the death toll from the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip since October 7th has risen to nearly 35,000.

The ministry stated in a statement that the number of fatalities from the Israeli assault on Gaza has reached 34,971, with 218 deaths reported in the attack on Gaza.

In another development, the ministry reported the discovery of 80 bodies in 3 mass graves in the courtyards of the Al-Shifa Medical Complex and dozens of bodies inside the complex's departments.

The Civil Defense Authority in Gaza stated that there are over "10,000 martyrs still under the rubble and have not been recovered yet."
