CAIRO – 9 May 2024: Egypt’s Foreign Ministry said on Thursday that Egyptian expats who are eligible for mandatory service in the Armed Forces can send their questions regarding the initiative to settle their outstanding military conscription status through an online application.
Military service in Egypt is required from all male citizens between the ages of 18 and 30, and typically ranges from one to three years, determined by the individual's education level.
On March 17, the Foreign Ministry announced launching a two-month initiative to settle the outstanding military conscription status of Egyptians living abroad as of May 1.
The ministry has designated Whatsapp no. +201557066757 and the following e-mail: info@tagneedinit.gov.eg for receiving queries by expatriates regarding the initiative.
The ministry called on Egyptian expats seeking to settle their military conscription status to swiftly register in the initiative and finalize the required procedures before the end of predetermined deadline
