Egypt and the UAE continued airdropping of tons of humanitarian aid and food onto the north area of the Gaza Strip

CAIRO – May 4, 2024: Egypt and the UAE jointly continued airdropping humanitarian aid onto the besieged Gaza Strip, announced the Egyptian Ministry of Defense in a statement on Saturday.

 

Aid airdropping comes in lights of intensified Egyptian efforts to reach a humanitarian ceasefire inside the Gaza Strip and to ensure the continued flow of humanitarian aid for the besieged Palestinians and meet their basic demands amid a worsening humanitarian crisis inside the Strip, the statement continued.

 

It also comes as in implementation of the directives of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

 

This coincides with the implementation of daily sorties and sustain the airdrop of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip. Egypt also carried out other aid airdrops in collaboration with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and several friendly nations.

 

Simultaneously, aid distribution persists through the Rafah crossing to alleviate the plight of the Palestinian people.
