Egypt provided 85% of total Gaza aid, Rafah crossing open 24/7: PM

CAIRO - 29 April 2024: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly said Monday at the World Economic Forum in Riyadh that Rafah border crossing is open 24/7.  

Madbouly added that Egypt has provided 85% of the total aid to Gaza since October 2013. 

Israel said on Monday it would allow an increased amount of humanitarian aid into the strip.

The Egyptian prime minister emphasized that the Palestinians have suffered immensely as a result of Israel’s “collective punishment” of the population. 

Last week, Palestinian ambassador to Egypt Diab al-Louh said that 80,000-100,000 Palestinians have crossed into Egypt since October.
