Guterres, in a message to Tayyeb Wednesday, thanked the Grand Imam for his non-stop attempts to unite communities and call for tolerance.

On March 24, Tayyeb received Guterres at the Al Azhar HQ and offered him the shield of the Muslim Council of Elders.
